Our Dental Hygiene Team has an important role to play in helping you to keep your teeth and gums healthy. They will give your teeth a professional scale and polish and help keep your mouth in tip-top condition. After a visit to the hygienist your whole mouth will feel clean and your breath fresh.
When Janet qualified as one of the first Dental Therapists in the UK in 1980, she was awarded the student's prize from the Director of the School and 1st prize for Oral Hygiene Education. She then studied at Guys Hospital and qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 1984. She joined Longborough in February 2008.
She is a firm believer in Dental Health Education and the positive influence preventative care has on the general health and well being of a patient. She has just completed a 5 year secretarial role for the South East group of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy. Janet has two grown up children and she enjoys spending time in her garden and cooking.
Rebecca gained her Dental Hygiene and Therapy qualification at Newcastle University. As a previous scout leader she has great communication skills and a bubbly personality which she brings to her work with great enthusiasm. Outside of work Becky enjoys travelling, high adrenaline sports and running. She recently completed her first marathon in Paris and far from putting her off, it has spurred her on to run another.
